More Borscht From A Catskill Mountain Plumber

by Allen Frishman

Did you ever reach the end of a book and say to yourself, “Man, I wish there was more.” Okay, maybe you didn’t say “man”. But guess what? Your wish has come true! More Borscht… is the much-anticipated sequel to Tales of a Catskill Mountain Plumber. It’s more family stories and a whole lot more from people who worked, vacationed or lived in the Catskill Mountains during its heyday.

Now, let me warn you upfront. This book is only for those who like to smile or laugh. If you don’t do either while reading
More Borscht…, then you should go to your doctor immediately to have your pulse checked.

My third book, “Gelfilte Fish for the Soul” will be coming out soon. But, don’t you dare steal the title because your mother will be upset with you.

Catskill Mountain Memories!

If you were fortunate to have lived up in the Catskills during the days of bungalow colonies and borscht belt hotels, then this book will bring it all back.

If not, then you'll wish you had. He has been able to recount, in detail, stories of personal events as well as those of others who have lived through an era that will remain in the hearts and minds of so many people that cherish those times as gold.

Written in a very humorous but personal style (sometimes it seems like a stand-up act), Frishman's stories will entertain and tickle your funny bone - AND, you might learn some Yiddish also.

“A Delight!”

I really loved this book by Allen Frishman.

It was filled with stories that truly bring out the treasure of the Borscht Belt in the Catskill Mountains (where I grew up).

This is the second book by Allen Frishman that I've read and really look forward to the third one that is now being written. Look for it!
